This was an upset of mega proportions.

The undisputed masters of world cricket shocked by a team supposed to be making up the numbers.

Zimbabwe had not defeated a full member of the ICC - Bangladesh aside - for almost four years.

And yet here they were at Cape Town, giving the most stunning start to a group that included England.

Australia probably lost the match when they were restricted to 138 for nine in 20 overs with the Zimbabwe bowlers giving nothing away and their fielders backing them up admirably.

Opening batsman Brendon Taylor (60 not out off 45 balls) stood firm as the Australian bowlers fought back in a bid to achieve the impossible and Zimbabwe were home with five wickets and a ball to spare.
