At 38, the evergreen Sanath Jayasuriya had still not lost his effervescence and the ultimate proof of this came during Sri Lanka's 172-run rout of Kenya at Johannesburg.

The left-handed opening batsman hit the hapless bowlers all around the ground while smashing 88 off just 44 balls, a knock studded with eleven fours and four sixes.

Skipper Mahela Jayawardene outpaced him by scoring 65 off only 27 balls with nine fours and two sixes.

Jehan Mubarak then outshone both of them towards the end, slamming 46 runs off 13 balls with five sixes and three fours.

Sri Lanka's score of 260 for six was the highest score in a Twenty20 international completing a rare treble - they also held the record for highest totals in Tests and ODIs.

A dispirited Kenya offered little resistance being dismissed for 88 in the last over.
